Mathew 6:3 “But when you give alms, your left hand must not know what your right is doing”

I wondered many days whether this is literally possible and the practicality of it, until this potential explanation arouse in my mind today:

Perhaps, this could mean that I do not need to trumpet the good deeds I do to my spouse. Based on the Holy Scripture since I and my spouse are one in flesh, this phrase of left hand and right hand (of the same person/flesh) can fit the union of husband and wife.

Why not share with my spouse? One primary reason for not disclosing this act of charity is to avoid the trap of pride. Not only that, perhaps this would help me practice the habit of sharing personal secrets only with my God the Abba Father.
